A well deserved equalizer in the 92nd minute from substitute Shane Cooper - Clarke maintained Wokingham & Emmbrook's impressive unbeaten start to the season at Potash Lane on Tuesday evening. Apart from the opening half hour in which the home side had the greater possession, Wokingham looked the more likely winners as the game progressed. On an immaculate surface both sides looked to get the ball down and play, which was pleasing on the eye. Wokingham threatened first after good work by David Bellis but Ben Rice's effort cleared the bar. With most of the early action in midfield chances were few and far between although Richard Bland cut in and fired just wide of the target.
James Wise was next to test the home keeper. Wokingham keeper Stuart Harris produced a good save in the 23rd minute palming a header from Milton's danger man Anthony
Alleyne over the bar. Alleyne got away on the half hour, Shaun Wanklyn was forced to put in a challenge that upended the striker. Tom Gooding stepped forward by Harris saved the penalty. Wokingham themselves should have been awarded a penalty when the impressive Alex Luis was impeded in the area, but nothing was given by a poor official Mr.B. Proffitt. Ben Rice limped out of the game in the 34th minute to be replaced by Billy Elgar. It was the visitors who finished the half on top.
The second half saw Wokingham have the better of possession. Elgar burst forward and shot wide. Wokingham didn't have to much luck in the Milton penalty area when Bellis broke into the box only to be upended from behind again no penalty was given. Defender Alex Luis saw his effort tipped over and Wise failed to hit the target from a good position.
Manager Wayne Wanklyn made what turned out to be an inspired substitution in the 77th minute introducing Cooper - Clarke for James Wise. The home side took the lead against the run of play in the 80th minute. Alleyne gained possession in the Wokingham half before breaking into a good position the resulting strike gave Harris no chance from just outside the area. The goal certainly didn't dent Wokingham's confidence as they continued to look the more impressive and they certainly looked to have a goal in them, and this proved to be the case, two minutes into time added on. Cooper - Clarke found some space out on the right he broke free on the right, having only the narrowest of gaps to squeeze the ball in, he managed to find the net from the acutest of angles much to the delight of his team mates, Stuart Harris showing what the goal meant to Wokingham running the length
of the pitch to congratulate the young striker who was buried under a heap of bodies. Not content with just a point the visitors pressed for the winner. A challenge just on the half way line led to Shaun Wanklyn being dismissed picking up his second yellow of the evening, it looked to be a slight clip that the home player made a meal of, however Mr Proffitt produce a second yellow and then a red card.  Despite this Wokingham saw out the remaining minute or so to collect a well deserved point. Manager Wanklyn was certainly incensed by Mr. Proffitt and his officials. " I thought the officials were a disgrace we should have had two certain penalties with the Referee in a perfect position to see them both ".
"You work hard to win games and then decisions so obvious to the human eye go unpunished ". " However I thought we played really well apart from the opening 30 minutes, we looked the better side and always looked capable of scoring ". " As a game of football it was certainly entertaining with both sets of players looking to get the ball down and play ".
