Wayne served as an apprentice under Charlie Hurley at Reading FC in the late seventies, before signing pro forms with Maurice Evans. He went on to make 58 football league appearances for the biscuit men. He the moved on to near neighbours Aldershot Town, making 24 league appearances for them before finishing his playing career at Wokingham Town. It was at Wokingham Town Wayne moved into management, also having a spell at Fleet Town before coming back to Wokingham & Emmbrook last season (07/08). Wayne has shown great belief in the youth of this club. With the average age of the squad being around 21.

Roger has been with the club in a managerial roll for over ten years, starting with the under sevens back in 1998. These are now our under seventeens, with Roger remaining at the helm. Roger stepped up from reserve team boss, to Waynes number two mid way through last season 07/08. He is also assistant to Nigel Bateman in the allied Counties, where he keeps a watchful eye on our youth team players. Roger spent most of his playing career at local rivals Finchampstead FC, with a short break in between at West Swindon FC.

Now in his 2^nd season after joining from us from local rivals, Finchampstead. A very experienced and talented keeper who has represented the league numerous times and last season ‘cleaned-up’ at the end of season presentation, winning Managers player, Players Player and Supporters Player.

Simon Harvey - Goalkeeper

Simon has been along servant of the club, back to the days of Wokingham Town and is now acting as coach to the Reading League side as well as providing back-up to the 1^st team squad.  A strong character and talented keeper with lots of experience.

Jack was the youngest member of the 2007 Allied Counties squad and was an influential member of last season’s championship winning side.  He also made several appearances in last season’s developing 1^st team and is expected to feature heavily again this year. Widely recognised as a future Captain in the making, Jack is an all round sportsman as a highly rated ‘egg-chaser’ and ‘bat and ball merchant’.

A solid and skillful defender. Was Captain of 2007’s U17 League and Cup winning team and last year’s Allied Counties championship winning side.  After many years coming up through the club’s youth section, Shaun also made the effortless transition into last season’s 1^st team as a regular and consistent performer in his father’s developing side.  Shaun leads by example and is at his most influential when the team is seeking leaders on the pitch.

A strong and skillful right-back and very talented footballer, Alex Joined from California Boys 3 season’s ago with David Bellis.  Also a member of the successful Forest School side and another star from the Allied Counties side last season, who made the step up to 1^st team football effortlessly.  With Bournemouth F.C. as a youth player, ‘Wally’ is also training with the England Schoolboys squad this season, with David Bellis.

Another ex-youth player who has rejoined us after completing university.  Used as a defender or midfielder in pre-season games to great effect, but can play anywhere on the park.  Scored regularly for the university first last season to finish as their top scorer.

Nick has been playing with the Club since Under 7s and apart from 2 years at Watford Academy has been instrumental in much of the team’s success over the years. Now in his 3^rd year and previously his local radio and journalist work has restricted his appearances.  Very strong player in the midfield, one of the fittest members of the squad, with a decent goal scoring touch.   Captained the reserve squad who won the Hellenic Reserve League Cup 3 years ago and is expected to make more regular 1^st team appearances this seaso.

David Bellis - Midfield

David joined 3 season’s ago from last seasons Successful California U16 team. David was captain and influential in his school (Forest Boys) reaching the National Schools Cup Final 2 years ago, was highly influential in last years Allied Counties winning side, as well as staring many times for the 1^st team. An intelligent, hardworking and skillful footballer, who is likely to be very influential this year.  David is also having trials in august with the England Schoolboys squad.  Also a talented ‘bat and ball merchant’.

Spanish midfielder with typical Mediterranean technique and flair, joined last season when he came to Reading University and turned in some excellent displays after rising through the reserves.  Suffered injuries towards the end of the season and has spent the close season in his native country recuperating and celebrating his countries Euro successes.  Hopefully he will re-emerge this season inspired and re-rejuvenated to terrorise Hellenic defences again.

Another former youth player who joins the club this season from Thatcham Town.  Quick, skillful and with a real eye for goals, who can finish strongly with both feet and ‘goes past people for fun’.  Early signs are that Kylo looks like being an impressive recruit for this season’s campaign.

Darren Thorne – Striker

‘Thorney’ or ‘The Fans Favourite’ as he is often known is an ex Wokingham Town youth and Emmbrook Sports player, who has played for all the club’s sides since the merger.  Last season saw him spend most of the season in the successful ‘B’ team, where he mirrored Stuart Harris’s achievements winning Manager’s and Players Player awards and Top Goalscorer.  This season he is looking to re-establish himself in the 1^st team.

Son of the Club’s Social club chairman, Andre has been associated with the club for many years and his ‘Brazilian’ heritage, from his mother, shows in his quick and skillful feet.  Slight, but very quick ‘Dre’ will always cause problems for opposition defences and returns ‘full-time’ to the club this season after completing his studies at Cardiff University where he captained and starred for their 1^st X11.
